BMW 2002 Turbo

BMW 2002 Turbo

The BMW 2002 Turbo was launched at the 1973 Frankfurt Motor show and it was BMW's first turbocharged production car and one of the very the first turbocharged cars available for road use. The engine produced 170 bhp at 5,800 rpm and 240 Nm of torque. Unfortunately, the 2002 Turbo was introduced just before the 1973 oil crisis, and this was probably the main reason that only 1672 examples were ever built and very few survive today, making it the most sought after version from the fantastic '02' range, and a proper collectors item. This particular example was registered on 19/05/1975 and has been in the hands of collectors for most of it's life, having covered a genuine 65,000 miles from new. Complete with a fully documented service and ownership history, this 2002 Turbo is a fantastic addition to any collector.
